Our Story

By veterans. For veterans. Always.

How We Started

In 2012, a phone call changed everything.

A veteran — a woman who had served her country with honour — reached out in crisis. What she shared was devastating, and when we took her story to the highest levels of the Canadian Armed Forces, we were met with silence.

The system that was supposed to protect her had failed her.
That moment made one thing clear: veterans needed more than programs and paperwork. They needed someone who would actually show up, fight back, and refuse to let them be ignored.

That’s why the United Federation of Canadian Veterans was formed — to give every veteran a voice, and to make sure that voice is heard.

Who We Are & Who We Serve

If you served,
we are here for you.

We are veterans. We are first responders. We are people who have lived the experience, carried the weight, and understand what it means to come home and find the support you were promised isn’t there.

We serve veterans from every branch of the Canadian Armed Forces — Army, Navy, Air Force, Rangers, and the RCMP. We serve veterans from every era and every background. And we extend that commitment to our Commonwealth brothers and sisters who find themselves in Canada and need support navigating Veterans Affairs.
Since our founding we have stood alongside veterans in some of their most difficult fights — including contributing to the landmark military sexual trauma class action lawsuit, a cause that struck at the very heart of why this organization exists.

Every veteran helped is a milestone.
Every voice heard is a victory.

We are here.
Any time.
Any situation.

Whatever you’re facing — reach out. A real person will get back to you.
